    Only if your tapes already are edited. To edit, you need iMovie.

    No editing? You need only iDVD. No need for Toast either.

    Unless the eMac doesn't have a Superdrive, in which case the options are to save as a disc image with iDVD 5 and burn with Toast, or to forget iDVD and use Toast's plug & burn feature to import and burn the DVD. Toast's plug & burn won't edit, either, except for trimming at the start and end of the title.

    Apple's Disk Utility can burn a disc image to disc so you don't have to buy Toast just to do that.

    True if the DVD burner is supported for burning with Disk Utility. Since the Genki Genki already has Toast (apparently) it is usually faster to use Toast rather than Disk Utility for burning. But if the eMac has a Superdrive then I've just been confusing the situation because the entire project can be done with either iDVD or with Toast depending on which kind of menus Genki Genki wants on the DVD.
